011. Purpose, Scope & Core Principles
These Rules govern the 2027 California Cornhole League (CCL) regular season, official CCL Regionals, the CCL Championship, season standings, player classifications, equipment, gameplay, conduct, awards and related competition administration. CCL PHILOSOPHY CCL does not replace local cornhole; CCL connects local cornhole. Participating Clubs remain independent. CCL provides a statewide season, shared standings, Regionals and a Championship while preserving local autonomy. • CCL is open and additive. Players may participate in other leagues, clubs and events without penalty. • CCL competition is organized around Social, Competitive, Advanced and Elite/Pro classifications. • CCL uses Scoreholio as the primary competition system of record wherever the platform supports the applicable rule. • Permanent Rules establish competitive requirements. Annual schedules and Event Guides establish operational details such as exact times, side-event lineups, venue logistics and ceremony formats. • If an annual event communication conflicts with these Rules, these Rules control unless a properly approved current-season rule change states otherwise.

An eligible event whose results may count Qualifying Event toward CCL points and the 24-event Championship qualification requirement. An official CCL Regional event operated by the Regional applicable Regional Director/host club under CCL Regional rules. Thirty calendar days before Championship Regular-Season Cutoff Weekend. The competition platform used as CCL's official database/system of record for season Scoreholio participation, results, standings and related competition data. A designated player available in each division to Standby Player be activated when needed to create an even field in an assigned-partner event. The person responsible for real-time operation Tournament Director or TD and gameplay rulings at an event.
033. Season Entry & Season Calendar
3.1 Season 1 dates • The 2027 CCL regular season begins January 1, 2027. • The regular season closes 30 days before Championship Weekend. • The inaugural Championship is planned for dates to be announced. Exact dates will be published separately. • Pre-registration may open before January 1, 2027; no CCL points or qualifying-event credit may be earned before the season begins. 3.2 Season Entry • Annual CCL Season Entry: $40 per player. • $30 of each Season Entry is designated to the Championship Prize Fund; $10 supports CCL operations. • Season Entry is non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be rolled into a later season. • Players may join at any time during the regular season. No late-entry penalty applies. • CCL credit begins after the player joins the Season; results from events completed before enrollment do not retroactively count.
044. Player Classifications
CCL uses four divisions. PPR is an important classification input, but not an absolute entitlement to a division. Demonstrated ability and Director knowledge may warrant a higher placement. Division 120-Day PPR Guideline General Intent Social 0.00 - 5.99 Developing/social player Competitive 6.00 - 7.49 Established competitive player Advanced 7.50 - 8.99 Advanced competitive player Elite/Pro 9.00+ Highest skill division • First-time placement begins with the player's 120-day Scoreholio PPR and known ability. • Participating Club Directors may identify a player whose actual ability warrants a higher classification. • A player moved upward in CCL may not move downward without CCL review and approval. • Final classification is an end-of-season determination. Where a player started the season does not control Championship division placement. • Immediately after the regular-season cutoff, CCL sends classification information to Participating Club Directors for review. Directors return recommended reclassifications. Joe Jacobson, CCL Player Director/Player Ambassador, has final individual classification authority, except when conflicted, in which case the Managing Directors decide. • Final Championship classifications lock seven days before Championship Weekend. • Reclassification does not recalculate prior points. The player's full season record and Best 24 travel with the player.
055. Scoreholio & Official Records
• Scoreholio is CCL's official database/system of record for tournament participation, results, points, event history and season standings. • Where CCL rules can be administered natively through Scoreholio Seasons, CCL will use that functionality rather than create unnecessary parallel manual systems. • Participating Clubs are responsible for enabling and maintaining the Scoreholio data feed that shares eligible results into the CCL Season. • Only players enrolled in the CCL Season receive CCL season results/points from eligible shared events. • If a player reports missing or unsubmitted results, CCL will investigate and make every reasonable effort, including coordination with Scoreholio where necessary, to recover and accurately record the data. CCL cannot guarantee restoration where the necessary data is unavailable or the platform cannot support the correction. • Paul Rodriguez Jr. has final authority over CCL points administration, points corrections and Scoreholio points determinations. 5.1 Points correction timeline • Regular season closes 30 days before Championship Weekend. • Players must report points/results errors no later than 21 days before Championship Weekend. • Points corrections must be resolved or denied no later than the Championship registration deadline, seven days before Championship Weekend. • Paul's points determination is final.
066. Qualifying Events & Participation
6.1 Eligible event formats • Qualifying CCL results may come from Singles, Doubles, Switcholio, Blind Draw, BYOP and other formats that generate valid individual player results within Scoreholio. • There is no limit on the number of qualifying events a Participating Club may run. 6.2 Minimum field size • A regular-season event must have at least 16 actual participants to qualify for CCL points/event credit. • The 16-player minimum is measured by the actual event field, not by the number of enrolled CCL players in that field. • Championship Weekend side events are post-season and therefore have no 16-player minimum. 6.3 Participation required NO PARTICIPATION, NO POINTS Only players who actually compete receive CCL points. A player who quits or abandons an event before proper elimination receives no CCL points or qualifying- event credit from that event. • A game forfeit does not automatically eliminate a player/team. If the Tournament Director rules the player/team may continue, the player/team remains eligible for points based on the event finish. • If a Tournament Director disqualifies and eliminates a player/team for cheating, conduct or another serious violation, the disqualified player receives no CCL points for that event unless a later ruling expressly restores them.
077. Points, Best 24 & Season Rankings
7.1 Local points Finish CCL points 1st 50 2nd 45 3rd 40 4th 35 5th 30 6th 25 7th 20 8th 15 9th–100th 10 All positions from 9th through 100th earn 10 local points, provided the player completes the qualifying event in accordance with Section 6. 7.2 Regional points (2×) Finish CCL points 1st 100 2nd 90 3rd 80 4th 70 5th 60 6th 50 7th 40 8th 30 9th–100th 20 Official CCL Regional qualifying results earn double the local points for the corresponding finishing position. Positions 9th through 100th earn 20 Regional points. 7.3 Best 24 and qualification • A player qualifies for Championship competition upon earning at least 240 CCL season points by the regular-season cutoff; there is no minimum event-count requirement. • Any mix of qualifying Local and Regional events may satisfy the 240-point threshold. • Once a player has more than 24 results, only the player's Best 24 point results count toward the final season ranking. • Players below 240 season points remain visible in live standings but are not Championship- qualified. • A player may continue competing after reaching 240 points to improve the Best 24. 7.4 Season ranking tiebreakers 1. Best 24 point total 2. Higher 120-day PPR at the regular-season cutoff 3. Most first-place finishes among the Best 24 4. Most second-place finishes among the Best 24 5. Most third-place finishes among the Best 24
088. Participating Clubs
CLUB AUTONOMY Participating Clubs remain independent. CCL does not manage ordinary club schedules, finances, local divisions, venues, pairings, handicaps or club operations. • A club may ask to participate or may be invited by CCL. Regional Directors may recommend Participating Clubs; additions and removals require a CCL Board vote by simple majority under quorum rules. • A player does not need a home club to join or compete in CCL. Team Scoreholio or another default/no-home-club status is acceptable. • Participating Clubs may use their own social-media accounts and continue to obtain and retain their own independent club sponsors. • Participating Clubs are responsible for accurate Scoreholio sharing and for identifying CCL participation in their event descriptions where appropriate. • Repeated or serious failure to share eligible results can become a Participating Club compliance issue. Paul handles the points/data determination; Joseph Conway coordinates club-compliance review and recommends action; the Board determines club-status consequences. There is no fixed strike system. • A club may ban a player from its own events in its discretion. The club may report the ban and reasons to CCL; CCL separately determines whether any league-wide discipline is appropriate.
099. CCL Regionals
9.1 Starting Regions • Inland Empire - Regional Director: Paul Rodriguez Jr. • San Diego - Regional Director: Lalo Herrera • Sacramento - Regional Director: Joseph Fields • Ventura - Regional Director: Jesse Segovia • Regional boundaries do not restrict player eligibility. Players are encouraged to travel and support all CCL Regionals. • The 2027 Regional Tour follows the published CCL Events calendar. Exact Regional tour stops, host clubs, dates and venues are established through the official event schedule and may be updated. Starting league Regions remain Inland Empire, San Diego, Sacramento and Ventura; tour participation is not restricted by geographic boundaries. 9.2 Eligibility • CCL Regionals are open to everyone. Non-CCL players are encouraged to attend and may join the CCL Season at the Regional. • Only enrolled CCL players receive CCL season points. Regional qualifying results receive the 2x points schedule. 9.3 Main Regional format 1. Players compete in four Round Robin games within the applicable division. 2. After Round Robin, a random CCL wheel selects one ranking metric: PPR, DPR or Wins. 3. Players are ranked by the selected metric. Scoreholio system methodology/settings resolve ties. 4. The field is converted into High/Middle doubles teams using the resulting ranking order. 5. Teams enter a seeded double-elimination bracket. • Regional Directors may run qualifying side events. Qualifying Regional side events also receive the 2x point schedule when they satisfy all normal qualifying requirements, including the 16- player minimum. 9.4 Even-field / standby rule • CCL will maintain a designated standby player at each division level: Social, Competitive, Advanced and Elite/Pro. • If a Regional division has an odd number of participating players, the applicable standby may be activated so High/Middle pairing can produce complete teams. • Once activated, a standby player pays the same entry fee and competes exactly like any other player, including normal prize and points eligibility. 9.5 Regional economics • Regional Directors may set their Regional main-event entry price up to $40, with the event price published in advance. • Regional entry revenue is divided 60% to the same-day purse, 20% to the Regional Club/Director, and 20% to the CCL Championship Prize Fund. • For a $25 Regional entry this corresponds to $15 / $5 / $5. At another approved price, the same percentages apply. • Regional hosts collect entries, fund the same-day purse, retain and manage their 20% share and remit the CCL Championship share based on actual entries within seven days. • CCL checks Scoreholio participant counts against required remittances and does not control the local host's retained share. • Regional same-day purse payout is 60% for 1st, 30% for 2nd and 10% for 3rd, unless an officially announced alternative applies to an eligible side event.
1010. CCL Championship
10.1 Qualification and registration • The main CCL Championship is qualification-only. A player must have completed at least 240 CCL season points by the regular-season cutoff and must satisfy all other eligibility requirements. • Championship registration closes seven days before Championship Weekend. • Championship registration is separate from the $40 Season Entry. Both official events are mandatory: Singles Saturday and Ranked Partner Doubles Sunday. The per-event fee is not yet finalized (anticipated $25-$40); 75% of each event entry goes to the combined Championship Prize Fund and 25% supports CCL operations. • Championship registration is non-transferable. • If a qualified player is under active CCL suspension when Championship registration closes, the player is ineligible for that Championship, even if the suspension would expire before the event itself. 10.2 Check-in and final field • Each registered player must personally check in on Day 1 during the check-in window published in the official Championship schedule. • Only paid, registered players who actually check in and are present are included in the final Championship field and High/Middle team construction. • Managing Directors may make limited late-arrival exceptions in their discretion before team formation when circumstances warrant and the exception will not disrupt competition. • No-show Championship entries are not refunded. The Prize Fund portion remains in the Championship Prize Fund. 10.3 Sunday Ranked Partner Doubles: divisions, teams and seeding 1. After check-in, CCL confirms the actual Social, Competitive, Advanced and Elite/Pro fields. 2. No-shows are removed and the remaining players retain their relative final season ranking order. 3. High/Middle pairing is run within each final division. Example: with 100 players, #1 pairs with #51, #2 with #52, through #50 with #100. 4. The team anchored by the highest-ranked player is Seed 1, the next is Seed 2, and so on. 5. No combined points, PPR, DPR, practice results or other metric recalculates the seed. The season ranking earned the seed. • If an odd Championship field exists, the same CCL standby-player system used for Regionals applies. An activated standby pays the same entry fee and competes normally; there are no season points because the season is already over. 10.4 Sunday Doubles: team lock and practice • If a player withdraws before practice begins, CCL may remove the player and rerun High/Middle pairing for that affected division. • Teams become final when the finalized teams enter practice play. • Each Championship team receives two random Round Robin practice games. Practice standings are ignored and have no effect on seeding, pairing, advancement or payout. • Once practice begins, there are no substitutions or re-pairing. If a partner cannot continue, the team forfeits its remaining games. 10.5 Official Championship events and eight titles • Both official Championship events are mandatory for qualified registered competitors: Saturday Singles and Sunday Season Ranked Partner Doubles. • Saturday Singles uses the final individual season division and ranking for seeding. • Sunday Ranked Partner Doubles teams are formed using the final individual rankings and High/Middle pairing; the main doubles bracket is seeded double elimination. • Each of the four divisions awards a Singles Champion and a Ranked Partner Doubles Champion, for eight official championship titles in total. • Other finishers are recognized by actual placement (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.). • Championship results award no regular-season CCL points. The season is already over. 10.6 Championship side events and spectators • Championship side events are open to everyone, including non-qualified players and non-CCL players. • Specific side-event formats, number of events and timing are flexible and published in the annual Championship Event Guide. • Standard side-event economics are $25 entry, 75% same-day prize pool and 25% CCL operations; standard payout is 60%/30%/10% unless another structure is announced before registration/play. • Championship side events award no CCL season points and have no 16-player minimum. • General spectator admission to the Championship is free. Venue-controlled charges and optional premium/VIP experiences may be separate. • CCL may promote an official host hotel/property and offer optional booking incentives, but staying at the host property is never a condition of competing.
1111. Championship Prize Fund & Payouts
RESTRICTED PLAYER-PRIZE MONEY The Championship Prize Fund is designated for Championship player payouts and may not be used for ordinary CCL operating expenses. • The Prize Fund is tracked separately in CCL accounting and its balance is publicly reported monthly. • Only the CFO may authorize disbursements from the Championship Prize Fund. 11.1 Allocation between official events and divisions • The combined Championship Prize Fund is allocated 30% to Saturday Singles and 70% to Sunday Season Ranked Partner Doubles. • Within each event, the event purse is allocated among Social, Competitive, Advanced and Elite/Pro in proportion to actual checked-in Championship participation by division. • A registered no-show's money remains in the combined Prize Fund, but the no-show does not increase the attendance percentage of any division. 11.2 Paid-place rule • Within each official Championship event, each division pays one finishing position for each full $1,000 of its projected divisional event purse, with a minimum of three paid positions. • Thirty days before Championship, CCL publishes the current total Prize Fund, projected eligible- player counts by division, the number of paid positions for each division and the percentage payout assigned to each paid position. • At the 30-day publication, paid-place counts and payout percentages are locked. Final dollar amounts remain variable because the Prize Fund can continue growing and divisional allocation is based on actual checked-in attendance. • Paul Rodriguez Jr. and Phillip Celani determine the payout percentage curve each season. • All funds allocated to a division are paid out under the published percentage schedule. Any legitimate residual after final Championship payouts carries forward as restricted Prize Fund money for the next season. • No Championship prize money is paid based on an unfinished bracket.
1212. Season Awards
12.1 Player of the Year • CCL awards one Player of the Year in each of the four divisions: Social, Competitive, Advanced and Elite/Pro, provided the division has eligible players. • POY requires at least 240 season points. • POY is selected by the seven-member CCL Board; it is not automatically awarded to the season points leader. • The Board uses final season rankings, performance, classification history and Participating Club Director feedback to identify a small candidate group in each division. • A player may be considered for only one divisional POY. For a legitimately reclassified player, the Board determines the single appropriate POY division during the pre-Championship discussion. • Voting uses majority ballots. If no candidate receives a majority, the lowest vote-getter is eliminated and voting repeats until a candidate receives a majority. Individual Board votes remain internal. • POY voting occurs after final classifications lock and before Championship Weekend. Winners remain confidential until the Championship Closing Ceremony. 12.2 Most Improved Player • CCL awards one overall Most Improved Player (MIP). • MIP requires at least 24 qualifying events and actual positive improvement. • MIP is formula-driven: record the player's entering 120-day PPR immediately before their first qualifying 2027 event after joining; lock that baseline by Scoreholio Player ID, first qualifying event ID and timestamp. Compare it with their 120-day PPR at the regular-season cutoff. The largest verified positive increase wins. • MIP tiebreakers: most 1st-place finishes, then most 2nd-place finishes, then most 3rd-place finishes. • Paul verifies the underlying Scoreholio/event data and Phillip independently verifies the calculation. No Board vote is required. • The MIP winner remains confidential until the Championship Closing Ceremony. 12.3 Recognition • CCL maintains a permanent public Champions & Awards history beginning with the 2027 season. • Physical awards are determined annually based on budget, sponsorships and available resources. The Rules do not mandate a particular trophy, ring, plaque, belt or other item. • POY and MIP do not automatically receive cash from the Championship Prize Fund.
1313. Equipment Standards
13.1 Boards • Official CCL Regionals and the Championship use regulation boards consistent with major competitive cornhole specifications: approximately 24 inches wide by 48 inches long; 6-inch hole centered across the board with the hole center approximately 9 inches from the back edge; front height approximately 3.25 inches; rear height approximately 12 inches. • For Season 1, boards do not need CCL branding or a CCL-specific certification. CCL may add skins, decals or other branding without making branding an eligibility requirement. • Participating Clubs are responsible for providing appropriate regulation equipment for ordinary local events. CCL does not inspect or certify every local club board setup. • At official CCL Regionals and the Championship, the Tournament Director may remove, repair or replace boards/courts that are damaged, unsafe, out of regulation or materially inconsistent with the rest of the tournament equipment. 13.2 Court setup • Official CCL Regional/Championship courts use regulation spacing: 27 feet from front edge to front edge of opposing boards. • Appropriate pitcher's boxes/foul-line areas and reasonable playing clearance should be maintained. Tournament Directors may make reasonable venue accommodations that do not materially compromise safety or competitive fairness. 13.3 Bag eligibility • A legal CCL competition bag must be commercially manufactured and carry a recognized certified-league stamp, such as ACL, ACO, TCL, CCL or another certification accepted by CCL. • The bag certification/stamp must fall within CCL's permitted two-year competition window for the certification year shown on the bag. • Bags may not be intentionally altered, repaired, opened, re-filled, re-stitched, dyed, ironed or otherwise modified from their approved manufactured condition in a way that changes play characteristics. • Bags that are ripped, leaking filler or otherwise materially damaged are not legal for play. Normal break-in and ordinary wear are permitted when the bag remains legal and serviceable. • No foreign substance may be applied to a bag to change play characteristics. • A set of four used in a game must be a matching legal set. 13.4 Team bag selection and changes • Each team independently selects the legal bag set its team will throw. Opposing teams are not required to use the same brand or series. • In assigned-partner formats such as Regional and Championship High/Middle pairing, teammates may agree on any legal set. If they cannot agree, the higher-ranked player on that team has final choice. • Once a game begins, the selected bag set is locked for that game. A team may switch to another legal set between games. • If a bag becomes unintentionally damaged or illegal during a game, the entire set of four may be replaced at the end of the round. • When a team changes bag sets between games, one down-and-back practice sequence is allowed before the next game unless all players agree to skip it.
1414. Rules of Play
CCL publishes and applies its own Rules of Play. The mechanics below reflect standard competitive cornhole practice. Tournament Director rulings are final for the event unless the matter becomes a separate conduct/discipline issue. 14.1 Pre-game and lanes • A coin toss determines first-choice options before a game. In doubles, the winning side selects from the customary pre-game choices (such as first bag, lane or matchup), with the opposing side receiving the remaining choice as directed by the TD/event format. • Unless all players agree otherwise, players receive a down-and-back practice sequence before the game. • In doubles, partners line up across from each other in the same lane rather than diagonally across opposing lanes. 14.2 Pitching • All pitches must be underhand. • At release, at least part of one foot must remain within the pitcher's box and the player may not step on or beyond the foul line. • Players alternate pitches until all eight bags in the round have been thrown. • An incorrectly pitched bag may be declared dead/forfeited by the TD, with the pitching sequence restored as directed by the official. 14.3 Timing and timeouts • Players are expected to pitch without unreasonable delay. The standard pace is approximately 12 seconds after the opponent's previous bag comes to rest. • For the first pitch of a new round, the player/team is allowed a reasonable setup period consistent with standard competitive play. • Timeouts and any timing enforcement follow CCL's published event procedures and the Tournament Director's enforcement. Spectators may not use timeouts or delays to coach a player. 14.4 Scoring • Scoring is calculated at the end of each round using cancellation scoring. • Bag through the hole: 3 points. Bag remaining on the board: 1 point. Bag off the board/dead bag: 0 points. • A bag touching the ground is dead and scores 0. If a dead bag moves other bags, the TD determines the appropriate continuation/restoration consistent with standard play. • A game is won when a player/team reaches at least 21 points at the end of a completed round. No win-by-two requirement applies and there is no penalty for exceeding 21. • Players should allow a bag to come fully to rest before touching or removing bags from the board. 14.5 Coaching • Spectators may not provide specific strategic coaching during a game or comment on a specific bag situation in a way intended to direct the player's shot. • General encouragement is permitted when it is not specific strategic coaching. • In doubles/team events, teammates may communicate and coach one another as long as the communication does not interfere with timing or the opponent. 14.6 Rules calls • The Tournament Director has final on-site authority over gameplay, scoring, fouls, bag legality, pitching order and interpretation of these Rules at a Regional or Championship. • Ordinary gameplay rulings are not appealable after the event merely because a player disagrees. Intentional cheating or misconduct may separately enter the disciplinary process.
1515. Code of Conduct & Discipline
COMPETITIVE CONDUCT CCL permits normal competitive emotion, celebration, profanity and good-natured trash talk. Conduct crosses the line when it becomes cheating, targeted harassment, threats, intimidation, discriminatory abuse, persistent personal attack, violence, property damage, unsafe behavior or material disruption of play. 15.1 Prohibited conduct • Intentional cheating, collusion or manipulation of a game, score, bracket, pairing, ranking or result. • Knowingly submitting, entering or confirming false competition information. • Threats, fighting, intentional physical violence or credible threats of physical violence. • Targeted harassment, intimidation, discriminatory abuse or persistent personal attacks. • Intentional damage to boards, bags, venue property or another person's property. • Interference with an opponent's pitch or bag in flight. • Refusal to follow reasonable Tournament Director instructions. • Conduct materially threatening safety, competition integrity or orderly event operation. 15.2 Alcohol and impairment • Legal alcohol consumption is permitted where allowed by the venue. • Intoxication is never a defense to misconduct. A Tournament Director may remove a person whose impairment creates a safety issue, materially disrupts the event or prevents appropriate participation. 15.3 Scoring responsibility • Players are responsible for reviewing their own scores/results, and the opposing player/team is also responsible for verifying the recorded result. Each side effectively audits the other. • An honest scoring/data-entry error may be corrected when reliable evidence supports the correction. An accidental error is not automatically cheating. • Deliberately entering or knowingly confirming a false result is an integrity violation. 15.4 Immediate event authority • The Tournament Director may issue warnings, game forfeitures, event disqualification or removal from the venue when reasonably necessary for safety, conduct, cheating or competition integrity. • Intentional physical violence or a credible threat of physical violence requires immediate removal from the event and mandatory referral to the CCL Board. • Substantiated intentional cheating/result manipulation may result in immediate event disqualification and referral to the CCL Board. Affected results may be invalidated. 15.5 Player complaints and league discipline • Joe Jacobson, as Player Director/Player Ambassador, is the first point of responsibility for player conduct reports and complaints and may gather statements, video, messages, Scoreholio data and other relevant evidence. • Joe may resolve minor player-conduct matters through warning, discussion, direction or a determination that no further action is warranted. • Formal league-level suspension, ban or competition-integrity sanction requires CCL Board action by simple majority under normal quorum/conflict rules. • Before formal Board discipline, the affected player receives notice of the allegations and a reasonable opportunity to respond and provide relevant evidence. • The Board determines the length and scope of formal discipline in its discretion; there is no fixed suspension chart. 15.6 Appeal • A player may submit one written appeal within seven calendar days after receiving written notice of formal Board discipline. • The discipline remains in effect while the appeal is pending unless the appeal decision overturns or modifies it. • Paul Rodriguez Jr. and Phillip Celani decide the appeal. If one is conflicted, the non-conflicted Managing Director decides alone. If both are conflicted, Joseph Conway as Vice Chair decides. The appeal decision is final. 15.7 Local club bans • Independent clubs retain authority to ban individuals from their own club events in their discretion. • A local club ban does not automatically create a CCL-wide ban. The club may report the circumstances to CCL, and CCL determines any separate league action under these Rules. 15.8 Spectators • Tournament Directors may warn or remove spectators for disruptive, threatening, abusive or unsafe conduct that materially interferes with an official CCL event. • If the spectator is also a CCL participant or official, serious conduct may additionally be reviewed under the CCL disciplinary process.
1616. Refunds, Cancellations & Interrupted Events
16.1 General refund policy • CCL Season Entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-rollover once purchased. • No refund is owed because of suspension, ban, disqualification, removal or other conduct-related loss of participation. • Championship registration is non-transferable. Refund eligibility before the published registration deadline follows the Championship registration policy. After registration closes, entries are normally final and non-refundable. • Side-event entries are normally non-refundable once play begins unless CCL cancels the event or determines another extraordinary circumstance warrants a refund. 16.2 Regional cancellations/postponements • Season 1 Regional hosts control Regional registration funds and do not use centralized CCL prepayment collection. • If a Regional is cancelled and not played, the Regional host is responsible for any refund of entry fees it collected. • Regional Directors may postpone/reschedule a Regional without a Board vote, while coordinating the new date with CCL leadership and the other Regions. • If a Regional begins but is interrupted, the Regional Director/TD may pause play and resume later or reschedule completion. Existing completed results and bracket positions should be preserved where reasonably possible. • If a Regional truly cannot be completed, the Regional Director/TD provides the facts to the Managing Directors, who make the final case-by-case determination on payouts, CCL points and qualifying-event credit. 16.3 Championship cancellation/postponement • The CCL Championship must be rescheduled and ultimately played if it cannot be held as originally scheduled. • A postponement does not reopen the regular season. Qualification, Best 24, final rankings and season results remain frozen from the original cutoff. • Championship registration reopens for the new date. Previously registered qualified players may remain registered, may cancel and request a refund, and other already-qualified players may register for the new date. No player may become newly qualified after the season has closed. • If Championship play has begun and is interrupted, CCL will preserve completed results, team assignments, seeds and bracket positions whenever reasonably possible and resume/complete the competition later. • Affected divisional Prize Fund money remains restricted and no Championship payouts are made until the applicable bracket is completed.
1717. Authority, Interpretation & Rule Changes
17.1 Competition authority • Tournament Director: final real-time gameplay and event-operation rulings for the event. • Player Director/Player Ambassador: final individual player issues and questions, including classification and Championship eligibility, except points administration and formal discipline. • Paul Rodriguez Jr.: final authority over CCL points administration and points corrections. • Joseph Conway: Participating Club compliance/brand issues within his delegated role. • CCL Board: formal league-level suspension/ban, POY selection and other matters reserved to the Board. • Managing Directors: unresolved Board stalemates, extraordinary competition issues specifically assigned to them, and final Bylaw interpretation under the governance documents. 17.2 Rule changes • Material competition-rule changes normally take effect the following season. • Immaterial or administrative in-season changes may be approved by simple Board majority when necessary. • Emergency in-season rule changes may be adopted by simple Board majority for safety, integrity, legal, technology or other urgent unforeseen needs. • CCL may publish annual schedules, Event Guides and operational procedures without amending these permanent Rules when the change is logistical rather than substantive.
AAppendix A - Points & Financial Reference
2027 CCL POINTS & FUNDING REFERENCE LOCAL QUALIFYING EVENTS • Clubs independently determine entry fees, venues, formats, payouts and finances; CCL does not mandate ordinary club event economics or receive a share of ordinary local event revenue. • Local CCL season points by finish: 1st 50; 2nd 45; 3rd 40; 4th 35; 5th 30; 6th 25; 7th 20; 8th 15; 9th–100th 10. OFFICIAL REGIONAL EVENTS • Regional Directors determine the Regional main-event entry fee up to the approved $40 cap, subject to event publication. • Regional event entry economics: 60% same-day purse, 20% Regional Club/Director, 20% CCL Championship Prize Fund. At a $25 entry, these amounts are $15 / $5 / $5. • Official CCL Regional points are twice the corresponding local points: 100 / 90 / 80 / 70 / 60 / 50 / 40 / 30 / 20 (9th–100th). 2027 SEASON ENTRY • $40 per player; $30 (75%) Championship Prize Fund and $10 (25%) CCL operations. • Season entry itself earns no tournament points. OFFICIAL CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS • Both Saturday Singles and Sunday Season Ranked Partner Doubles are mandatory for qualified Championship entrants. • Championship entry fees are separate from Season Entry and are not yet finalized; 75% of each official Championship event entry goes to the combined Championship Prize Fund and 25% supports operations. • The combined Prize Fund is allocated 30% Singles and 70% Ranked Partner Doubles; each official event then allocates its purse among the four divisions according to actual checked-in divisional participation. • Championship competition awards no regular-season CCL points. Official annual event guides may specify operational details, subject to the adopted Rules and properly approved amendments.
BAppendix B - 2027 Championship Timeline
Timing Required Action / Milestone January 1, 2027 Regular season begins. Regular season closes; season points and Best 24 freeze subject to corrections; 30 days before Championship Championship eligibility established; MIP ending PPR measured; payout architecture published. Adoption date and any approved amendments are maintained in CCL's official governance records. 2027 Championship Competition Format and Prize Allocation The official Championship consists of Saturday Singles seeded from final individual season rankings and Sunday Season Ranked Partner Doubles formed by High/Middle individual rankings. Each qualified Championship registrant must enter and compete in both events. Registration fees are separate from the $40 Season Entry and are to be announced, anticipated at $25-$40 per event. Seventy-five percent of Championship competition entry revenue is designated to the combined Championship Prize Fund. The combined fund is allocated 30% to Singles and 70% to Ranked Partner Doubles; within each event, the four divisions receive shares proportional to actual checked-in Championship participation. Payout depth remains one paid place per full $1,000 of divisional event purse, minimum three paid positions. This updated provision supersedes earlier doubles-only descriptions and fixed $25 Championship entry references elsewhere in this document.
CCL League & Competition Rules govern CCL competition. Official amendments and event-specific updates will be communicated by the league.
